Assembling the Object of Discomfort

The performance that we would like to develop will enact a process of assembling and transforming the materiality of space, sound and movement into an object, making the performance itself into a site of this construction. As the object starts emerging from a cumulation of actions, the quality of mystery will be enhanced, as what is being put together, will maintain its resistance to interpretation. If discomfort appears in situations in which we need to experience things that we do not understand, this work could be a shared exercise in how to make sense of such a discomfort.
Über die Dauer der Performance geht die Stofflichkeit von Raum, Klang und Bewegung eine wechsel- seitige Verbindung ein und verdichtet sich zu einem (dreidimensionalen) Objekt. Es entsteht ein Schauplatz dieses Zusammenfügens und der allmählichen Transformation. Während das Objekt durch die Akkumulation von Aktionen nach und nach seine Form erhält, entzieht es sich gleichzeitig dem unmittelbaren Zugriff der Interpretation, was dem Gefüge etwas Ungreifbares und Rätselhaftes gibt. Wenn Unbehagen in Situationen auftritt, die wir nicht auf Anhieb verstehen, kann diese Arbeit eine gemeinsame Übung sein, Sinn in solch einem Unbehagen zu finden.
