What began as an idea in the early 2000s is now an integral part of the Berlin dance scene. Ten years of Uferstudios. Ten years of living utopia. A place of artistic research, of being together and radically opening up in the increasingly rigid conditions of the city.
On 10 October the Uferstudios for contemporary dance will celebrate its tenth anniversary. You are cordially invited! The partners and artists working on site will invite you to showings and open rehearsals, discussions and installations. In addition, the Uferhallen Manifesto exhibition, which starts on this day, can be visited in the neighbouring Uferhallen.

Was Anfang der 2000er Jahre als Idee anfing, ist heute aus der Tanzszene Berlins nicht mehr wegzudenken und ein wichtiger Bestandteil eben dieser. Zehn Jahre Uferstudios – das sind zehn Jahre gelebte Utopie. Ein Ort des künstlerischen Forschens, des Gemeinsam-Seins und der radikalen Öffnung in den zunehmend festgezurrten Verhältnissen der Stadt.
Am 10. Oktober feiern die Uferstudios für Zeitgenössischen Tanz ihren zehnjährigen Geburtstag sowie die Eröffnung des neu sanierten Heizhaus’. Die Partner*innen und vor Ort arbeitenden Künstler*innen öffnen die Türen und laden zu Showings und offenen Proben, Diskussionen und Installationen ein. Darüber hinaus kann in den benachbarten Uferhallen die an diesem Tag startende Ausstellung “Uferhallen-Manifest” besucht werden (Anmeldung hier).
Die Hofperformances von Grupo Oito, David Bloom & Kaveh Ghaemi, Berlin Krump, Zhenya Salinski, Saskia Oidtmann, Claudia Garbe & Anja Spitzer und Shannon Cooney, die Videoinstallationen von Christina Ciupke & Darko Dragicvic und Arbeiten der HZT-Studierenden sind über die Buchung des Hofticketszugänglich.
Alle weiteren Showings, open studios und Diskussionen sind jeweils als Einzelveranstaltung buchbar (Buchung/Registrierung erforderlich!). Die Buchung einer Einzelveranstaltung gilt zugleich auch als Hofticket.

Reflecting on a month of collaborative research with Diego Agullo, Sasha Amaya, Enrico L’Abbate
In 2017 more than 80 artists came together in the Uferstudios to work and research collectively in ten studios. Via an open call, artists were invited to work on questions that were designed by other artists and released for research in an anonymous form. Together, these moments of deleting authorship, collaborative work and self-organisation are presented, remembered and discussed. Documentation of Month of Research 2017
Collective work, research and self-organization have always been an important element of the Berlin dance scene and therefore also of Uferstudios. Since – or although – these approaches are commonly outside of most funding schemes or institutional framings, throughout the years, many artists have gathered here to work, think and imagine together. Two of these initiatives, The Village (Tanznacht 2010) and Month of Research, will look back at what they did, while the PSR Group, currently host of the Heizhaus, will playfully dive into the future collectively.

FESTAKT
Uferstudios exists for 10 years and we would like to celebrate this with you! Corona-compliant, of course.
The day peaks with an official ceremony (Festakt) at 6 p.m. in the Heizhaus of Uferstudios. We will invite you to a concert of Hacklander | Hatam into the freshly renovated Heizhaus where the program unfolds; various artists and, of course, the partners take a look at the past and future of Uferstudios. Choreographers Kareth Schaffer and Martin Clausen will guide you through. Finally, we would like to take the opportunity together to present the new dance award DIE FRITZ for the first time.
The number of places are limited. If it’s sold out, please order here a ticket for the live streaming in Studio 11 at the Uferstudios.

10 Jahre Uferstudios – das möchten wir mit Euch feiern!
Wir laden herzlich zum 10. Geburtstag der Uferstudios und zur Eröffnung des Heizhauses am 10. Oktober 2020 ein.
Als Auftakt zum Festakt laden wir nach umfangreichen Umbaumaßnahmen zu einem Konzert von Hacklander | Hatam ins neu eröffnete Heizhaus ein. Anschließend entfaltet sich das Programm, in dem verschiedene Künstler*innen und natürlich die Partner, Freunde und Wegbegleiter einen Blick in die Vergangenheit und in die Zukunft der Uferstudios werfen. Zum krönenden Abschluss und zur Feier des Tages lancieren wir den Tanzpreis DIE FRITZ, der neue glamour-award für die Berliner Tanzszene!
Durch das Programm führen Kareth Schaffer und Martin Clausen.
Die Anzahl der Plätze ist begrenzt! Bei ausverkaufter Veranstaltung gibt es die Möglichkeit, hier eine Eintrittskarte für das Live-Streaming im Studio 11 zu erwerben.
