Eine Gruppe von circa 30 PerformerInnen, bewaffnet mit weißen Plakaten, eröffnet ihren stillen Protestmarsch. Ihre Bühne sind die belebten Straßen der Stadt. Gegen was sie demonstrieren? Sie antworten: “Gegen was möchten SIE protestieren?” Kunst und Politik interagieren, gesellschaftliche Fragen werden tänzerisch in den öffentlichen Raum verlegt. Die 1967 von der Amerikanerin Anna Halprin inszenierte Performance “Blank Placard Dance” wurde – vierzig Jahre später auf Anfrage des Centre Pompidou – durch die Choreografin Anne Collod neu interpretiert. Damals reagierte man auf den Vietnamkrieg und protestierte gegen die sozialen Unruhen in den USA. Doch was betrifft die Gesellschaft heute, in Zeiten politischer Krisen und Zusammenbrüche? Die Protest-Performance von Anne Collod sucht Denkanstöße. Ein spannender Akt und kollektiver Entstehungsprozess, den der Zuschauer aktiv mitgestalten kann und soll.

A group of about 30 performers, armed with white posters, opened their silent protest march. Their stage is the busy streets of the city. What do they demonstrate? They reply, “What do YOU ​​want to protest?” Art, politics, and social questions are danced into the public space. The performance “Blank Placard Dance”, which was first staged in 1967 by American Anna Halprin, was reinterpreted forty years later by the choreographer Anne Collod at the request of the Center Pompidou. At the time of the original performance, the Vietnam War was reacted and protested against the social unrest in the USA. But what concerns society today, in times of political crises and breakdowns? The protest performance of Anne Collod is looking for thought. An exciting act and a collective process of creation, which the viewer can and should actively shape.
