Cluster enters its seventh year with a program of intense sonic experiences in venues around the city. This year, we want to take you beyond the purely conceptual and bring you performances that are surprising, forward-thinking, and aimed straight at the heart.

Highlights of Cluster 2016 include the festival’s first ever concerts at the West End Cultural Centre (A Prairie Drone Companion and Indieconstruction), New York’s Vicky Chow playing a dazzling piano concerto by Tristan Perich at the Winnipeg Art Gallery (Surface Image), and Montreal’s Bozzini Quartet performing a program of pieces for string quartet that explode the genre out of its classical beginnings.

In a sense, we are returning to our sonic roots, presenting a strong and diverse program of sound and music performances spanning genres from experimental to classical to pop.

Open your ears to the sounds of Cluster 2016.
